What is Chakra ?

It is a new javaScript engine developed by Microsoft for its IE9 web browser.

A distinctive feature of the engine is that it include a new JavaScript compiler that compiles the scripts on a separate CPU core and convert into high-quality native machine code.

The engine is also able to access the computer’s graphics processing unit (GPU), in particular for 3D graphics and video.

It also include a new interpreter for executing script on traditional web pages, and improvements to the JavaScript runtime and libraries.

What is the importance of the HTML DOCTYPE ?

The doctype declaration should be the first thing in an HTML document, before the html tag.

The doctype declaration is not an HTML tag; it is an instruction to the web browser about what version of the markup language the page is written in.

The doctype declaration refers to a Document Type Definition (DTD). The DTD specifies the rules for the markup language, so that the browsers can render the content correctly.

What is Extjs ?

ExtJs is JavaScript application framework that works on all following modern browsers.
IE 6+
Firefox 3.6+ (PC, Mac)
Safari 4+
Chrome 10+
Opera 11+ (PC, Mac

It enables you to develop the best Rich cross-platform applications. It also offers an extraordinary range of UI widgets like grids, trees, menus, and more.

Is JavaScript case sensitive?

Yes,it’s purely case-sensitive.

For ex:-

we can write getElementById function not getElementbyID.
we can write function not Function.
we can write ClientID not clientId or Clientid.

We can understand all cases by simple example:-

function do_stuff()
{
var txt_name = document.getElementById (‘<%=txt_name.ClientID %>‘);
}

I am trying to do MIRO for a fixed assets from PO. But I got the error message when I want to post MIRO, I got an error message 'Enter asset value date in the same year as posting date 20111231 Message no. AA310'. I checked the table ANEK and the asset value date are all in 2011. The MIRO date that I input is also 2011.12.31.

I hope your PO was not created with GR Based Inv Verf indicator in it. Coz of that, system is posting to asset during MIRO.

If your PO is made with GR Based INV VERF indicator, then system would have posted the asset capitalisation during MIGO itself.

And also check, whether you have correctly configured the value date determination rules for your TType for acquistion for assets in SPRO->FA-AA->Transactions->Specify How Value Date is Determined->Define variant for determining default asset value date->SAP_DEFAULT->Business Transctions

Here for transx type Invoice receipt for purchase order, the primary rule must be 12 and Alt rule must be 02.

SAVE and check with MIRO.

I am sure that, MIGO for this MIRO was done in last FY and you might have missing the Alt Rule in the above config area.

"Exception type:com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.connect.ConnectorException Message:Wed Jan 11 07:46:55 2012 (Connector): com.sap.portal.connectivity.destinations.PortalDestinationsServiceException: User is missing credential for connecting to alias . Contact your system administrator." I find that user has been mapped in the corresponding system of that alias. Note: the user has his first name and last name interchanged. FYI. Is it the first name and last name interchange issue which created the problem?

One thing that could cause this error message is also that the user does not have permission to the system object itself. So, drill down to the system object in PCD and check the permissions.

I have downloaded the latest version of the Portal Activity reporting from the SDN i have followed the installation guide, but in the content_report.log i get the following error regarding the Portal Activity Reporting tables: "Exception during update. Rethrowing exception… java.sql.SQLException: [SAP_Portals][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Invalid object name 'WCR_USERNODESTAT'. "

the installation guide has some failures. In the programming they use db pool name “sapep”. If you have a lock in the SAP J2EE Engine Administrator (usrsapj2eej2ee_00admingo.bat) under Server->Services->dbpool you will find an entry for the Database URL. This URL points normally to the portal database PCD. For that reason the Portal Activity reporting is not working if you create tables in another database than PCD.

Please change the sqlserver_setup.sql as follows:

You may modify also the sql.properties (chapter 3.4) as follows:

*********************************************************

sql.driver=com.sap.portals.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver

sql.user=webreporting

sql.password=mypassword

sql.connstring=jdbc:sap:sqlserver://localhost:1433;DatabaseName=PCD

Localhost only works if the SQL server is on the same host.

Can any one help me to get Exact System requirements (Hardware) for NetWeaver Platform? (I.e. component wise Details) We are planning to move to NetWeaver Stack

Several valid responses are already posted. Let me add a few additional considerations for your requirements analysis, the most difficult issue for hardware sizing/capacity planning.

First of all, you need to identify the business solution you intend to run in the NW environment which means what components of NW stack you will using (like EP, XI, BW, etc.). You need to find the how the end user will access your system. In case an end user access outside of the LAN (say via WAN or dial-up) using https, it will have additional requirements for your hardware as you will need compression enabled for improved response time for WAN. Adding compression or SSL may add additional hardware if you based your sizing based on LAN.

Now for an example, if you have EP in your system, you need to understand how large (say in KB) an average portal page is. How it is connected to the backend system, if any. You need to find out the performance requirements in terms of a predefined “transaction (say an end user click and response)” or in terms of number of either logged-on users (may not be active always but logged on) or concurrent users (active users) or combination of them.

It will make your proper hardware planning challenging. One easy approach is after you define your test case, run some load test on your QA/Staging system. Use the load test data and find out the hardware requirements based on load test. If your requirement is larger than the staging system, you may have to take a staged approach. In that case you roll-out the system to a certain number of users and monitor the system and plan for additional users based on the monitored results.
